Sona Haroutiounyan, an activist of the "SOS!  Save Afrikyans' Club Building!" public interest group has been detained, the Police press- service told ArmInfo. 
The activist is now at the Central Police Office. "Sona Haroutiunyan has been detained on suspicion of causing damage to others' property and for bearing cold arms," the Police said. 

The countries in the Middle East and North Africa are coming into a new stage of political development, Ruben Safrastyan, Head of the Institute for Oriental Studies at the National Academy of Science of Armenia, told reporters on Tuesday.
