ArmInfo. The eldest son of the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, world-famous  philanthropist and businessman Ruben Vardanyan, illegally detained in Azerbaijan, gave an interview to France 24 TV channel regarding the situation with his father.

Based on geodetic measurements on the border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of  Azerbaijan, as of April 26, 2024, 28 border posts were installed within the coordinates adjustment works, which is about 35 percent of the planned works.  According to the press service of the RA Government, the work of the expert groups of the two countries continues.

Since early morning, citizens who disagree with the policies of the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan have been holding chaotic actions of  disobedience throughout the country. In order to prevent the closure of the capital's main highways, the traffic police banned heavy trucks from entering Yerevan in the morning.

ArmInfo.Within days, Converse Bank's dram coupon bonds were bought in the primary market in the  amount of 5 billion drams. It is noteworthy that this tranche was put up for sale together with the dollar bonds on April 17, and within a week the dram bonds were fully distributed. ArmInfo.  In several regions of Armenia, as well as in Yerevan, protests are being held by citizens who disagree with the unilateral surrender of territories to Azerbaijan by the Armenian authorities. Roads and streets are closed. In particular, the road to the Alagyaz section in the Shirak region, the road to Tigranashen in the Ararat region, the road to Martuni in the Gegakunik region, the road to Bagratashen in the Tavush region, as well as several streets in Yerevan are closed.

ArmInfo.The process of border delimitation process and demarcation is accompanied by a number of  difficulties. Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan stated on April 25 in a conversation with journalists.

This was stated on April 25 during a weekly briefing by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria  Zakharova, in response to a question from an Azerbaijani journalist, presented in a manipulative manner.

The European Court has never made a decision that Armenia occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, the  same applies to the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, which are related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Armenia's Representative for International Legal  Affairs, stated  during a hearing at the International Court of Justice, where Azerbaijan's claim against Armenia was considered.

It is obvious that the falsehoods and fakes that the Russian President allegedly recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan back in 2020 are intended to confuse the Armenian and international public. This was stated on April 25 during a weekly briefing by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in response to a request to comment on the theses that the Russian President recognized Artsakh as Azerbaijani back in 2020.

ArmInfo.The only way to change the situation in Armenia and around it is to hold early parliamentary elections. Political analyst Suren Surenyants told ArmInfo, commenting on the demands of the President of Azerbaijan on  Armenia.

ArmInfo.Actions of disobedience have started in Armenia directed against the policies pursued by the current authorities of Armenia. Citizens oppose the unilateral concessions of the Armenian authorities to Azerbaijan.  Citizens took to the streets in support of Tavush and, as a step of disagreement with the policy of the Armenian authorities, blocked the Yerevan-Gyumri, Yerevan-Meghri, Yerevan-Sevan roads.

ArmInfo. A protest rally is taking place in Republic Square in Yerevan calling for unity against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The initiators of the action, as noted, are the leader of the "Public Voice" party Vardan Ghukasyan and the "Armenian National Unity" party Mihran Poghosyan.

ArmInfo. Today we mourn together with the Armenian people. In our country, as throughout the world, the memory of the victims of the tragedy of the early twentieth century is honored. This is stated in the address of Abkhazia's Leader Aslan Bzhania on the occasion of the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.  "Abkhazia's position has been and remains consistent: we have always believed that there is no, and cannot be, any justification for the mass murder of people. Such events cannot be erased from the historical memory of people.

ArmInfo. This year, on the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, banners could be seen at the top of Tsitsernakaberd, reading, "Free Armenian Prisoners Now," "There can be no peace agreement without the release of Armenian prisoners," "No COP29 in Azerbaijan without freeing all Armenian prisoners," "Global Silence, Global Shame: Stop Genocide," alongside the photos of more than two dozen Armenian prisoners illegally held in Baku prison.  These banners were carried by the participants of the mass march organized by the friends of Ruben Vardanyan, who is illegally detained in Baku prison, not only paying tribute to the memory of millions of innocent martyrs on the anniversary of the Genocide, but also expressing their support for the Armenian prisoners and Ruben Vardanyan, who declared a hunger strike on April 5 in order to demand the immediate release of all Armenian prisoners.  "Today, we commemorate the martyrs of the Genocide and, through this action, we simultaneously strive to draw the world's attention to the fact that we have prisoners held illegally in Baku prisons, one of whom, Ruben Vardanyan, has been on hunger strike for about 20 days.  International human rights organizations should respond and implement pressure mechanisms, because the issue of Armenian prisoners illegally arrested and held as hostages in an authoritarian country is also the issue of the civilized world. We know that Ruben Vardanyan's family and friends are concerned about his condition and demand that the International Committee of the Red Cross visit him immediately. Through this march, we also demand the same and join Ruben Vardanyan's demand to immediately release all Armenian prisoners," said Ruben Hayrapetyan, the organizer of the action.  One of the banners borne by the participants of the march was the message conveyed by Ruben Vardanyan from Baku prison to his family: "Values and principles are more important than even life itself.

ArmInfo.The Syrian Parliament unanimously recognized the Genocide and called on other parliaments  to recognize the Armenian Genocide. Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Armenia Nora Arisyan  stated on April 24 in a conversation with journalists in Tsitsernakaberd.  She recalled that Syria recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2020, and the context of this recognition was presented by the Syria-Armenia Friendship  Commission.
