ArmInfo. The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia rejected the Republic Party's appeal to invalidate the Strong Armenia party's registration for the June 7 parliamentary elections.

ArmInfo. The raid by law enforcement officers, which began around noon at the media outlet owned by Alexan Alexanyan—a member of the team of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, who was detained yesterday—concluded with the confiscation of "Armat-Media's" property and employees' phones, as well as the sealing of the media's doors. This means that two days before the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, a media outlet associated with a party participating in the elections is being shut down.

Her remarks come in response to the pro-Western Republic Party, led by  Aram Sargsyan, submitting an application to the Central Electoral  Commission (CEC) demanding the annulment of Samvel Karapetyan's  "Strong Armenia" bloc registration for the country's upcoming  parliamentary elections on June 7.

ArmInfo.  The "Strong Armenia" party has introduced an initiative to establish a Poverty Alleviation Fund, as announced by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's  political council, in a video published on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo. To ensure the legality and transparency of the electoral process, as well as to  maintain public order during the parliamentary elections in Armenia  on June 7, units of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA)  will be on duty around the clock.  The Ministry's press service  informed ArmInfo that the 87-67 and 84-22 hotlines will be active  during this period.

ArmInfo. A presentation of a new book by French-Armenian historian and genocide scholar Raymond Kevorkian, "Ending the Genocide: Mustafa Kemal and the Extermination of Armenian and Greek Survivors (1918-1922)," will take place in  Yerevan. The book will be presented on June 6 at 3:00 PM in the AGBU  conference hall.

ArmInfo.  According to a report on an alleged crime received by the RA Investigative Committee on June 5, 2026, Vardan Ghukasyan, head of the Gyumri community in  the Shirak region, acting in conspiracy with other individuals,  carried out preparatory actions in 2025 aimed at seizing power in the  Republic of Armenia by means not provided for by the Constitution.  However, due to circumstances beyond their control, they were unable  to carry out the crime. This was reported by the Investigative  Committee.

ArmInfo.  According to  NA press service, on June 5, Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the "With  Honor" faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, met with  a delegation of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observation  mission. 

ArmInfo.  Moscow expects the next foreign-minister-level meeting of the "3+3" regional  platform (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and their three neighbors -  Russia, Turkey, Iran)  to be hosted in either Baku or Yerevan, with  active discussions currently underway. This was announced by Russian  Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin during the St. Petersburg  International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

ArmInfo.  Armenian security forces are conducting searches at Armat Media. According to media reports, the media outlet is affiliated with the team of Strong  Armenia party leader Samvel Karapetyan and is owned by party member  Alik Aleksanyan.  According to editor Nelly Avetisyan, security  forces have seized computers and digital equipment from an Armenian  media outlet, effectively stripping the publication of its  operational archives.

ArmInfo.  There are at least two states interested in destabilizing the situation in Armenia, but they are not openly demonstrating such intentions. This was stated by  political analyst Abraham Gasparyan, founder and director of the  Genesis Armenia analytical center, during a press conference in  Yerevan, when asked whether Syunik could become a flashpoint where  global players would find it more advantageous to maintain  instability rather than reach a final resolution.
