ArmInfo. Peace in the South Caucasus is already irreversible. According to Azerbaijani media, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev  made this statement at the  presentation of the credentials of the new German ambassador to the country.  German diplomat Dirk Lolke congratulated Aliyev on the  first anniversary of the Azerbaijan-Armenia Summit, which took place on August 8 last year in Washington.

ArmInfo. Discussions on candidates for the chairs of parliamentary committees continue in the National Assembly of Armenia.

ArmInfo. "You won't find the name 'Zangezur Corridor' in any signed documents, statements, and projects—at the level of political rhetoric, many can  say whatever they want," stated Arman Yeghoyan, MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, during a briefing on August 12. He was  commenting on the increasingly frequent statements regarding a "Zangezur Corridor" originating from Azerbaijan.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian Foreign Ministry will likely refrain from criticizing yesterday's  statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, which, in its  content, amounts to nothing less than direct interference in  Armenia's internal affairs.  Tatevik Hayrapetyan, expert on  Azerbaijani studies, wrote in her social media post.

ArmInfo. On the occasion of the first anniversary of the White House Peace Summit, a  meeting was held in Washington between Vahan Kostanyan, Acting Deputy  Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Elnur  Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of  Azerbaijan, and Allison Hooker, U.S. Under Secretary of State for  Political Affairs.

ArmInfo. On August 10, 2026, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit to the Mary velayat. As part of this visit, he traveled to the Islim-Cheshme border zone in the Serhetabat Etrap, from where he embarked on a working trip to Afghanistan.

ArmInfo. Sargis Khandanyan, a member of the ruling "Civil Contract" party and candidate for Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations,  has stated that he does not rule out the possibility of importing natural gas from Azerbaijan to Armenia. 

ArmInfo. The territory of Armenia has always measured 29,743 square kilometers, whereas the previously circulated figure of 29,800 square kilometers was merely a rounded estimate. This statement was made on August 11 from the rostrum of the National Assembly by RA National Assembly Vice-Speaker  Ruben Rubinyan, responding to an inquiry from opposition "Armenia" faction MP Artur Khachatryan. 

ArmInfo.It cannot be ruled out that after January 2029, Azerbaijan might resort to military blackmail against Armenia,  as stated by Beniamin Poghosyan,  a senior researcher at the APRI Armenia think tank, on August 11 during discussions dedicated to the anniversary of the signing of the Washington  agreements.

ArmInfo. On August 11, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received ambassadors of Arab states  accredited to Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Over the past few days, officers from the Migration Department of the Georgian  Ministry of Internal Affairs have deported 113 foreign nationals,  including citizens of Armenia, TASS reports, citing the ministry's  press service.

ArmInfo.  Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sent a congratulatory message to Armenian  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The message, distributed by the  government's press service, reads, in part: "On behalf of the  Government and the people of Australia, I warmly congratulate you and  the Civil Contract Party on your success in the Armenian  parliamentary elections on 7 June 2026.
