ArmInfo.During a hearing at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on July 23, Judge Karen Farkhoyan changed the preventive measure for Igor Sargsyan, supporter of the "Sacred Struggle" movement and member of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun, from house arrest with to administrative supervision.

ArmInfo.  The House Foreign Affairs Committee voted 44 to 7 on Wednesday, July 22, to call on Azerbaijan to immediately and unconditionally release all Armenian hostages, adopting an amendment to H.R. 9087, the House Foreign Service Act. The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA)-  backed amendment, led by Congressional Armenian Caucus Vice Chair  Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) with the support of Committee Chairman Brian  Mast (R-FL), builds on its favorable consideration by the Committee  on June 10.

ArmInfo.  Anna Grigoryan has been elected head of the parliamentary faction of the "Armenia" bloc of second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan. This was announced in a statement on the political party's Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  A protest is taking place outside the Arinj Mall shopping center, owned by the arrested leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Gagik Tsarukyan. Law enforcement officers have sealed off some of the mall's pavilions.

ArmInfo. Narek Karapetyan, a member of the political council of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, has been placed on bail of 1 billion drams ($2,748,000). The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia reported this  to ArmInfo. The office did not provide any further details.

ArmInfo.  By decision of the Council of CIS Heads of Government, Kapan has been recognized as the CIS Youth Capital 2026, and the city will host program events from  July 23 to 25.

ArmInfo.  In the context of the unresolved conflict, Baku is strengthening its influence over  Armenia, acquiring new leverage. This was stated by Tigran  Abrahamyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition  "I Have the Honor" faction.

ArmInfo. Christian Solidarity International (CSI) joined Armenian and European human rights  organizations in condemning comments by OSCE Secretary General  Feridun Sinirlioglu, which appeared to express support for the  Armenian government's removal of the Catholicos of All Armenians and  head of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), Karekin II.
