ArmInfo. To secure Armenia's future, it is necessary to build factories and create jobs within the country. Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's political council, made this statement in Gavar, the regional center of the Gegharkunik region, at the opening of the Strong Armenia party office.
He noted that due to the lack of jobs in the city, thousands of people are forced to leave the country each year in search of work, mostly in Russia. He rhetorically asked why this is happening if everything is going well in the country. According to Karapetyan, a similar situation is observed in other cities of Armenia, and today almost everyone knows someone who is planning to leave the country in search of work. "Factories in Armenia have been destroyed, and people are forced to leave to support their families. And they are being provided with such opportunities. But for these people to remain in our country and for our communities to continue to thrive, we need to restore this potential, including our factories. After all, if we want a future for Armenia, we must create jobs within the country," the political party representative noted. Karapetyan, in this regard, emphasized that today Armenia needs a leader inspired by patriotism and a duty to the homeland, as well as with connections abroad. Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the Strong Armenia party, is precisely such a person. He noted that although Karapetyan lived and worked in Russia, he never lost touch with his homeland, as experience shows that the diaspora's connection to Armenia only grows stronger far from home. "Our country has a governance problem. We're tired of being the weakest among our regional neighbors. Previously, when we were seen outside Armenia, people would change their roads to avoid crossing paths with us. Now, they look at us as if we've been crushed. Azerbaijan, a country of 10 million, is rejoicing over its capture of Artsakh, home to approximately 150,000 Armenians. Our country today needs consolidation and a new leader with whom the Armenian people can pin their hopes. If someone with economic experience emerges in our country, our country will become prosperous and strong," Karpatyan concluded.
As a reminder, on February 12, at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the Strong Armenia party, was unanimously elected as the prime ministerial candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
