


ArmInfo. President of the European Council Antonio Costa has posted the following message on his X account:
"The first-ever EU-Armenia summit will take place on 4-5 May in Yerevan. I look forward to meeting with PM Nikol Pashinyan. Armenia is a close EU partner, and we look forward to deepening this relationship. We are united by shared values and a commitment to international law and the rules-based international order."
The Armenian Foreign Ministry previously announced that at the first-ever Armenia-EU summit, Armenia will be represented by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, while the European Union will be represented by European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The Armenian Foreign Ministry emphasized that, ahead of the summit, Presidents Costa and von der Leyen will also participate in the 8th European Political Community Summit, which will be held in Yerevan on May 4, 2026. The leaders will also discuss progress in ensuring peace, security, transport infrastructure, and prosperity in the South Caucasus, as well as current global challenges.
