


ArmInfo. In the UN World Happiness Report, Armenia is ranked 89th out of the 147 countries, down from 87th the previous year. The report measures the happiness of the residents of these countries. Our country is ranked between Tajikistan and Hong Kong.
This result was measured using the following indicators: "social support", for which Armenia ranked 72nd among all countries included in the rating, "GDP per capita" - 53rd, "freedom of choice" - 83rd, "freedom of choice" - 133rd, and "perception of corruption" - 50th. Armenia outperformed its neighboring countries. Specifically, Georgia ranked 91st, Turkey 94th, Iran 95th, and Azerbaijan 102nd. According to the ranking, Kazakhstan is the happiest country in the EAEU, ranking 33rd, followed by Kyrgyzstan in 66th and Russia in 79th. Belarus was not included in the ranking of happy countries.
Among the remaining post-Soviet states, the highest level of happiness was recorded in Uzbekistan (53rd), followed closely by Tajikistan (88th) and Ukraine (111th). Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Costa Rica, and Sweden have all made it into the top 5 happiest countries in the world. Afghanistan has remained the unhappiest for years.
Recall, Armenia showed its best result in the World Happiness Report in 2023, ranking 79. In 2022- 82nd place, in 2021 - 86th, in 2020 and 2019 - 116th, in 2018 - 129th, and in 2017 it was 122nd.
