ArmInfo. A strong army, smart diplomacy, and economic independence are the three main pillars of the concept of the "Strong Armenia" party, as stated by Samvel Karapetyan, Russian-Armenian businessman and leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, while presenting his political party's security concept.
"The time for lasting peace has come; tomorrow it will be too late. This is a well-known rule. War arises where there is no strength. A weak army provokes the enemy, while a strong army ensures peace. Peace is not begged for; it is maintained by force. I often think about how to build an Armenia where the draft age would be an age of confidence, not fear. Together with international experts in security and diplomacy, we have developed a systemic program called 'Strong Armenia,'" he noted in a message on Facebook.
Karapetyan also emphasized that his team's work in this direction has three main focuses: a strong army, smart diplomacy, and economic independence.
According to him, it is through the implementation of this systemic program that they will build a strong Armenia. "The homeland begins at the border, and love for the homeland also begins at the border. Therefore, Armenia's borders must be inviolable and inviolable. Permanent intelligence coordination centers, unmanned reconnaissance, and artificial intelligence analysis will ensure the inviolability of our borders and the safety of our soldiers," the politician continued.
He also noted with regret that the wars of recent years looming over the Armenian people have proven that victory cannot be achieved on the ground if the air space is not protected. Karapetyan promised to protect Armenia's air space with a modern, multi-layered air defense and electronic warfare system. "In a strong Armenia, military service will be based on a professional, technologically advanced, and advanced army. Honorable service and a dignified life after demobilization are our priorities. Armenia will speak to the world confidently, from a position of strength. Our foreign policy will be pragmatic and balanced. Our negotiations with the West and East will be clear, while maintaining our red lines. We will continue dialogue with our strategic partners, while strengthening contacts with other superpowers and countries," Karapetyan stated.
He added that, having spent 30 years in business, he had learned and mastered the skills of negotiating from a position of strength and had established contacts in various global centers. According to Karapetyan, this experience and his international connections will serve Armenia's foreign policy. The leader of the political force added that his team is already working with the Armenian diaspora, transforming sentimental assistance into a strategic tool with international influence, infrastructure, and long-term investments. "Our contacts with the region will be based on the principle of mutual benefit, not unilateral concessions. Peace is not achieved through weakness, but is ecured through strength. We offer a strong peace, a lasting peace. Armenia must end its policy of begging for peace and move to a policy where Armenia and its interests are a priority. A strong Armenia will not beg for protection, but will build it with its own strength. The weak cannot silence the strong. Armenia cannot be silenced. We will no longer be weak," Karapetyan concluded.
