RPA: RA premier perfectly aware that Armenia`s European future is a myth

ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan knows full well that Armenia's European future is a  myth, a fairy tale, under the guise of which they are "selling  Turkification" to the Armenian people. Armen Ashotyan, Vice Chairman  of the Republican Party, stated this on his Facebook page.

According to him, while Nikol Pashinyan was speaking in the European  Parliament about Armenia's future in the EU and the country's  intentions to join, he, like the MEPs, knew full well that just half  an hour later, the same European Parliament would vote on a crucial  document entitled "The European Union Enlargement Strategy." "I found  this document. It clearly states that Armenia, unlike the Balkan  states, Moldova, and Ukraine, which are mentioned in several places,  has no prospects for EU accession. The most the document says is that  the EU welcomes the silly law adopted by the National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia on initiating the EU accession process, and  expresses hope that with the continuation of the expansion and  deepening reform program, relations between Armenia and the EU will  enter a transformational phase," the RPA Vice-Chairman noted.

Ashotyan noted that the document makes no reference whatsoever to  Armenia's prospects for EU accession, and Nikol Pashinyan should have  known this, not to mention the MEPs themselves, especially when they  applauded the RA Prime Minister's self-indulgent speech. "Do you  think Nikol is capable of implementing reforms to meet European  standards? I'll give just one example: Armenia has been on the EU's  aviation blacklist for four years. Moreover, this list has been  extended until 2030, and that's just one area. If Pashinyan remains  in power, he won't be able to implement these reforms for nine years.  Armenia's future in the EU is a fairy tale used to 'sell us  Turkification.' The European Union and Nikol Pashinyan are well aware  of this," Ashotyan said, adding that the aforementioned document  states that states that deny genocides cannot join the EU. The  current Armenian authorities deny the Armenian Genocide, not only  obstructing its international recognition but also taking  corresponding steps domestically, as evidenced by the dismissal of  the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

As a reminder, the dismissal of the museum director, Edita Gzoyan,  was initiated by Pashinyan. The basis for his dismissal was a gift of  books on the Karabakh issue to US Vice President J.D. Vance.  Pashinyan himself considered these actions provocative and contrary  to the government's foreign policy.
