ArmInfo. The Interim Ruling Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran has decided not to fire missiles and drones at neighboring countries provided they do not attack. Iranian media reported this, citing a statement by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. He also responded to mediation attempts by several countries.
He apologized to neighboring countries that were also attacked and assured that Tehran has no intention of attacking neighboring countries.
"Some are thinking of taking advantage of the situation and attacking our land. Don't become a puppet of imperialism. We may have differences, but supporting Israel and the aggressor, the United States, is a very bad thing," he said. In a post published on the social media platform X, Pezeshkian also responded to recent mediation attempts by some countries amid ongoing regional events.
"Some countries have begun to attempt mediation. Our response to them is clear: we are committed to lasting peace in the region, but we have no hesitation in defending the honor and authority of our country. The proper recipients of mediation efforts are those who, underestimating the Iranian people, are setting the region on fire," he wrote.
Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran will continue to defend its national prestige with strength and determination.
