International Observatory for Democracy launches fact-finding mission  to Armenia ahead of June elections

ArmInfo. The International Observatory for Democracy in Armenia (IODA), an international, non-partisan organization, has announced the launch of its first fact- finding mission to assess the democratic situation in the Republic of Armenia ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.

According to a statement received by ArmInfo, IODA brings together  experts in democracy support, governance, the rule of law, human  rights, and civil society. Its Executive Board includes Philip  Kalfayan, Kenneth Roth, Sarah Leah Whitson, William Bourdon, Jose  Aranas, Mark Jones, and Brian May.

The delegation intends to return to Armenia in April 2026 to continue  the assessment process and present preliminary results, followed by a  final report.
