ArmInfo. Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan visited the Iranian Embassy in Armenia and signed a book of mourning. The Iranian Embassy in Armenia reported this in a Twitter post (X).
It is noted that Armenian officials expressed condolences over the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the Iranian citizens killed as a result of US and Israeli aggression.
"Armenian officials also expressed condolences to the ambassador and embassy staff and expressed hope for a speedy end to the unleashed war," the post stated.
As a reminder, a condolence book is open at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan on March 4 and 5 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in connection with the death of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the students of the Minab elementary school, as a result of military aggression by the United States and Israel.
It is noteworthy that despite Iran being considered a friendly country for Armenia, the country's top officials have not yet found time to visit the embassy and offer condolences to the Iranian side.
It is worth noting that, unlike Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the President of Azerbaijan found time "in his busy schedule" to visit the Iranian embassy in Baku yesterday.
