Levon Mkrtchyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF Dashnaktsutyun), served as Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia in 1998-1999, 2001-2003, 2006-2008, and 2016-2018. He also served as Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and was a member of the National Assembly.
