


ArmInfo.Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Director General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs at the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs Josphat Makara signed a memorandum of understanding on holding political consultations between their foreign ministries.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, following the signing of the document, the first political consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries took place, led by Levon Petrosyan, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department at the Armenian Foreign Ministry, and Director General Josphat Makara.
The interlocutors discussed opportunities to strengthen ties in education, healthcare, high technology, agriculture, and a number of other sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue and expanding the legal and contractual framework. The topic of cooperation and mutual support at international forums was also discussed. The Kenyan side was presented with Armenia's priorities for 2026 in advance of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Yerevan.
The meeting discussed recent developments in the South Caucasus and East Africa, as well as other issues of mutual interest and on the international agenda.
