ArmInfo. Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the political party and businessman, has been unanimously elected as the "Strong Armenia" party candidate for Prime Minister. The announcement was made on February 12 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex by Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the "In Our Way" movement, during the party's formal presentation.
"Our leader was born in Armenia and raised in a village; he came from humble beginnings. Having achieved success in business, he hasn't forgotten his roots. With the best international connections, he plans to use them for the country's benefit. He has demonstrated this through actions, not just words. Samvel Karapetyan offers an alternative in security and economics," the coordinator of the "In Our Way" movement stated.
He noted that the Armenian people face an important choice: either continue as they are or seriously engage in revival. "Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is seeking for a third chance. When we gave him the first opportunity, he lost 75% of Artsakh, weakened and dismantled the army, and took control of the judicial system. The second chance resulted in complete loss of Artsakh, his group began enriching themselves, he resorted to using pressure tactics and increased the national debt. Furthermore, he started to attack the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC). This begs the question: what else has he failed to do in order to be re-elected? He claims that his neighbors have become stronger, but in reality, he is the one who appears weak," Narek Karapetyan noted.
According to him, the country must have a strong and serious leader who can peacefully reclaim Armenia's occupied territories. "Everyone knows perfectly well that when Karapetyan promises something, he will do it, no matter the cost. Our victory is inevitable. We need not just any victory, but a major one-a majority in the National Assembly of Armenia. Together with Samvel Karapetyan, we will create a strong Armenia and win," stated Narek Karapetyan.
Recall, the "Strong Armenia" party held its congress on February 11. At the congress, businessman and head of the Tashir Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan was unanimously elected as its chairman. It should be added that parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
