
ArmInfo.Armenia attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Israel in education, as stated by Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan during a meeting with Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch. She pointed out the potential and broad opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in innovative and technological education.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, during the meeting, Zhanna Andreasyan presented the educational reforms being implemented in Armenia to her Israeli counterpart. Specifically, she discussed the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) training in high schools. In this regard, she announced that a multi-level educational program, "Generation AI," will be implemented in Armenia starting in 2023.
The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in curriculum development, teacher training, STEM education, digital literacy, and innovative teaching methods. They also touched on the advancement of technological and vocational education, including the potential for joint programs in information technology, engineering, and digital skills, as well as the exchange of specialists. Zhanna Andreasyan presented her counterpart with the new Law on Higher Education and Science and the "Academic City" project. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral, long-term cooperation in education.
According to the source, Zhanna Andreasyan is currently on a working visit to Israel to participate in the ministerial conference "Education 2026," dedicated to the development of personalized education policies in the era of AI.
