


ArmInfo. Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, received a delegation led by Olof Skoog, Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service (EEAS).
According to the Armenian Security Council's press service, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the consistent development and expansion of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and discussed several issues related to the comprehensive Armenia-EU agenda. They emphasized the importance of providing Armenia with the second tranche of support from the European Peace Facility. Grigoryan presented programs being implemented to develop regional connectivity and infrastructure in the context of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Recall, on January 29, it was announced that the EU Council had approved the allocation of 20 million euros in assistance to Armenia through the European Peace Facility. The assistance is intended to strengthen the logistical capabilities of the Armenian Armed Forces, with a focus on protecting civilians in crisis and emergency situations. It will also enhance Armenia's resilience and accelerate the interoperability of its armed forces in the event of possible future participation in international military missions and operations, including those deployed by the EU.
