ArmInfo. The US, Russia, and Ukraine talks in Abu Dhabi went well, with the parties discussing all contentious issues, Axios reports, citing unnamed US officials.
"Everything went as well as it could have. We're happy with where things stand right now," said one of the sources.
According to Axios, "we were able to discuss all the topics. Neither side avoided any issues (...). We felt the parties respected each other and were genuinely seeking solutions." Specifically, according to the source, the delegations discussed Donbas, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, and de-escalation measures that will be needed after the conflict ends.
An Axios source suggested that if the next round of talks in Abu Dhabi yields progress, further meetings could be held in Moscow or Kyiv. One of the sources also assessed that "we're close to a possible meeting between Putin and Zelensky."
Negotiations are planned to continue next week. (INTERFAX)
