
ArmInfo. RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Davos International Forum.
As reported by the presidential press service, Khachaturyan met with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the sidelines of the forum. During the meeting, the latter was briefed on the latest security and political developments in the South Caucasus, the general regional situation, as well as progress in the peace process with Azerbaijan and Armenia's approaches to it.
During the conversation, the parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation between Armenia and Singapore in areas of mutual interest. In this context, the potential for expanding bilateral cooperation was highlighted, particularly in the fields of information and high technology, particularly given Armenia's rapidly developing technological system and existing international partnerships in this field, including effective cooperation with NVIDIA.
The parties attached great importance to promoting economic, investment, and innovation initiatives, exchanging experiences, and implementing joint programs with the private sector. The parties also discussed expanding bilateral relations on multilateral platforms and exploring and deepening avenues for mutual cooperation within international organizations.
During a meeting with Goran Bogdanovic, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, the effective and stable work of Coca-Cola and Armenia, which has been ongoing for nearly three decades, was highly praised, with an emphasis on its significant contribution to the country's economy, job creation, and the implementation of social responsibility initiatives.
The parties discussed opportunities for further expansion of cooperation, particularly in the context of production development, new investment programs, and initiatives aimed at environmental protection and sustainable development.
In this context, the UN Conference on Biological Diversity (COP-17), which will be held in Armenia, was also mentioned, along with its international significance and Armenia's role in the global environmental agenda. The parties attached great importance to engaging the private sector in such events and promoting environmentally responsible practices. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized their existing commitment to continuing and deepening the partnership that has developed between Armenia and the Coca-Cola Company.
