ArmInfo. The Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia's report is a little more than an essay on a random topic, as stated by Gegham Manukyan, member of the National Assembly from the opposition "Armenia" faction, during a briefing on January 22.
Specifically, as the parliamentarian noted, Turkey, which has kept Armenia under blockade for 35 years, and whose high-ranking officials frequently issue hostile rhetoric, a country, where public opinion polls show the population views Armenia and Armenians as enemies, is mentioned in the report only three times, and only in the context of communications. The FSI report itself says virtually nothing about possible threats from Turkey. Instead, clergy and cultural figures are viewed as a threat. "As a member of the National Assembly and a member of the Defense and Security Committee, I am simply ashamed that the FSI is preparing a report that resembles a school composition on a random topic," Gegham Manukyan noted.
Recall, the FSI report contains provisions regarding "hybrid threats." The document mentioned the activities of certain cultural and spiritual figures who may be "agents of influence" in the context of potential risks.
