ArmInfo. Artist and sculptor Raffi Edalian will represent Armenia at the Second International Art Biennial in Malta with his project "The Sound of What Was Never Seen." The project was selected following a competition announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia in June 2025.
Yedalian's installation is a multi-sensory experience combining sculpture and sound. The project invites visitors on a contemplative, virtual journey designed to explore the delicate relationship between the visible and the invisible and the present and the past. Sona Hovhannisyan, co-founder of the cultural organization Triangle of Collaboration and ICOM (International Council of Museums) member and art historian, will curate the Armenian pavilion at the Malta Biennale.
This year, the 2nd Malta Art Biennale will feature 47 projects selected from over 3,200 submissions from 122 countries. Visitors will see a total of 29 national and thematic pavilions, positioning the Biennale as one of the largest international cultural events in the region. The event will run from March 11 to May 29 under the motto CLEAN / CLEAR / CUT. Armenia's participation in the Malta Biennale is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy.
