


ArmInfo. All types of vehicles have been permitted to travel on the Georgian Military Highway in North Ossetia, Interfax reported, citing the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"Due to the possibility of ensuring safe passage, all types of vehicles have been permitted to travel on the section between the city of Vladikavkaz and the town of Lars in both directions, effective from 11:30 AM Moscow time on January 21," the statement read. The road had been closed since 7:20 PM on January 20 due to inclement weather in Georgia. It reopened to passenger vehicles effective from 9:40 AM Moscow time on January 21.
The Georgian Military Highway is the only land route connecting Russia with Georgia and Armenia.
