ArmInfo. US President Donald Trump again touched on the topic of settling relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan at a White House briefing.
"President Putin told me, 'I can't believe you've resolved this war. I've been trying to resolve this war for 10 years,'" the US President said.
The American president recalled that the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan had lasted for decades. He added that he was forced to invite the leaders of the two countries to his Oval Office. "And one of them said, 'I was the leader of Azerbaijan for 22 years. For 22 years, I killed their people.' And the other gentleman, both very good guys, said, 'I've been here for seven years, and for seven years, I killed their people.' And they started all over again, and then they ended up next to each other." By the time we finished, they were already hugging each other," the US president said.
