


ArmInfo. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party will participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia as a bloc. Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body and a member of parliament from the opposition Armenia faction, announced this in a conversation with journalists following the party's 29th congress. He explained that this decision was made taking into account geopolitical developments and the security threats facing the country. Saghatelyan emphasized that within this format, they expect the ARF's role and approaches to important issues to be taken into account and supported. The representative of the Supreme Body added that this decision is aimed at preventing the replication of the current government.
Saghatelyan also noted that no decision has yet been made on who will lead the bloc. According to him, discussions on this issue are currently ongoing.
As a reminder, parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
On December 26, the Armenian National Congress (ANC), led by Armenia's first president, Levon Ter- Petrosyan, announced its candidate for prime minister of Armenia in the 2026 parliamentary elections. ANC Deputy Chairman Levon Zurabyan has been nominated.
