ArmInfo.Lilit Galstyan, a member of the National Assembly from the opposition Armenia faction and a member of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA), sent letters to OSCE PA Rapporteur on Human Rights Karine Odebrink and OSCE PA Vice-President Luis Gracia, in which she presented the current state of democracy and repression in Armenia.
As Galstyan reported on her Facebook page, she submitted two reports and one statement. According to her, these reports contain a report from the Armenian Center for Political Rights, which provides a detailed analysis of four major episodes of political persecution that occurred in the country between May and September 2025. Among them, the MP reported, are the arrests of Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian businessman of Armenian descent and head of the Tashir Group of Companies; members of the Sacred Struggle movement; Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhyan, head of the Shirak Diocese; and members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF).
"The report also mentions the large-scale campaign launched by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan against the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), as well as politicians, bloggers, and human rights activists," the opposition MP continued.
The letters, Galstyan added, also included a joint report by CivilNet and the Regional Center for Democracy and Security, "Armenia: Monitoring Democracy," covering a wide range of violations committed by the Armenian authorities, as well as a statement by NGO and civil society representatives regarding the repressions in Armenia.
