ArmInfo. The winter conscription into the Armenian Armed Forces began in Armenia on January 7. RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan announced this on his Facebook page.
He recalled that late last year, the National Assembly adopted amendments to the law "On Military Service and the Status of Servicemen," according to which, starting with the 2026 winter conscription, conscripts will serve for 18 months instead of 24. In this regard, the minister congratulated the conscripts and their parents, wishing everyone peace and good service.
