ArmInfo. A group of corrupt individuals, supported by Israel and the United States, are attempting to destabilize the situation in Iran, but the Iranian army is thwarting such attempts. This was reported by Iranian international journalist Khayal Mu'azzin in an interview with ArmInfo.
The journalist explained that the country's army is thwarting attempts to provoke unrest in the country. "A group of corrupt individuals, receiving orders from the United States and Israel, want to create unrest in the country, but the army is preventing this. Supporters of the current government and the Islamic Republic of Iran are taking to the streets and expressing support for the country's Supreme Leader and the authorities," he added.
Mu'azzin added that "the Zionist regime and American imperialists have suffered shameful defeats throughout history due to their reckless and adventurous moves against the Islamic Republic of Iran." "The current protests will inevitably lead to a further weakening of their power within the country," the Iranian journalist added.
When asked whether the reports that protesters had taken control of the city of Abdanan were true, Mu'azzin noted that there was no official confirmation of these reports. Moreover, he stated that IRGC troops had already taken up positions in the city.
Protests in Iran erupted on December 28 following the collapse of the real and rising food prices. According to Western media, protests have already spread to more than 90 cities across the country, with over 1,000 protesters detained and 36 people killed.
