ArmInfo. While Armenia's last stronghold of resistance is crumbling before Armenians' eyes, the last vestiges of the world order continue to crumble on the global stage. This is what Stanford University political science doctor Artur Khachikyan writes on his Telegram channel.
The political scientist recalled that on the eve of Christmas, Armenia's Supreme Satanist, a former tabloid journalist hired by the enemy to destroy everything Armenian, continued his campaign against the Armenian Church and Armenian history.
"His cries continue within the walls of churches, in the style of the street rallies of 2018, when he inspired the Armenian people to commit suicide. He has already fulfilled the main order-to surrender Nagorno- Karabakh-and now he has begun his next task: to split and subjugate the Armenian Church to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, for daring to defend Armenian culture and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Traitorous archbishops and several thousand members of his sect have followed him," the expert believes.
He also noted that criticism of this regime's actions continues in the Western press. Khachikyan noted that several days ago, the Lemkin Institute published a statement condemning the repressions against the Armenian Church. "The statement states that the Lemkin Institute 'expresses deep concern about the ongoing state repression of the Armenian Apostolic Church, including the arrest and intimidation of church officials, as well as the state's use of the legal system to suppress church leaders. These events represent a dangerous challenge to Armenia's democratic institutions and an assault on the fundamental institutions of Armenian identity,'" the political science doctor continued.
According to him, while the last stronghold of Armenian resistance is crumbling before Armenians' eyes, the last vestiges of world order, international law, international organizations, the global community, and democratic values continue to crumble on the global stage. "They no longer exist. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio openly declares that he doesn't care about the UN, that the UN itself doesn't know what it's talking about. The US President declares that from now on he will rule Venezuela and seize its oil resources. The leader of a sovereign country is kidnapped, American special forces invade its territory and kill 30 of its presidential guards. Threats are being made against other independent countries - Iran, Colombia, Mexico, and Cuba," Khachikyan added.
Recalling promises about a "president of peace" and "America first," the expert stated that, unfortunately, politicians' words are just that, politicians' words, and business is business. According to him, especially large businesses, involving the entire American military-industrial complex, with a total budget of $2.4 trillion for the period 2020-2024.
"What does it mean to live in a world without rules, where force decides everything? This means that the day after tomorrow, China could resort to force to resolve the Taiwan issue. That the leaders of other countries could be kidnapped and their territory invaded, and no one would be able to say a word. That tomorrow, our neighbors could resort to force to resolve all their problems with Armenia, and no one would condemn them. The slide toward a major global conflict continues, lawlessness and chaos in international affairs persist. The world is being divided into spheres of influence," he said.
In conclusion, Khachikyan asked a rather rhetorical question: whose sphere of influence will the Caucasus and the Middle East fall into?
