


ArmInfo. Roads across Armenia are generally passable despite heavy snowfall, according to the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
According to the ministry, roads leading from the Amberd high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed. Snowfall is observed at the Vardenyats Pass (fog and blizzard), in the Kotayk region, and in the towns of Aparan, Ashtarak, Yeghegdadzor, Jermuk, Sevan, Ashotsk, Meghri, Sisian, Vayk, and the village of Amasia.
In this regard, the ministry urged drivers to use winter tires exclusively on the country's roads. It is also noted that, according to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to truck traffic.
