ArmInfo. Alexandra Cole, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia, has sent a video message congratulating the New Year. The Ambassador's video message was published on the Facebook page of the British Embassy in Yerevan.
"Happy New Year! At this time of year, we usually take a moment to reflect on what we have achieved and what we would like to continue together in the year ahead," the Ambassador noted.
According to her, in 2025, Armenia and the United Kingdom took an important step, agreeing to raise their relations to the level of a strategic partnership. The diplomat also recalled the opening of a Defense Section at the British Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.
"This year, we also held ministerial visits, helping to deepen our cooperation. We continue to support Armenia's security, economic development, and capacity building including through education, business, cybersecurity, and human rights. The UK is working with the Armenian government to help prepare for key events next year, including the European Political Community meeting, parliamentary elections, and COP17," Alexandra Cole said.
The Ambassador described 2026 as a very busy year, and the UK stands ready to work with Armenia in support of peace, stability, and prosperity. "I wish you peaceful holidays and a happy New Year," the British diplomat concluded.
