


ArmInfo. Armenia and France have signed a defense cooperation plan for 2026, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense. According to the source, bilateral strategic defense consultations between Armenia and France took place in Paris on December 15- 16. A delegation led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, participated in the consultations.
During the consultations, Levon Ayvazyan met with Guillaume Ollagnier, the newly appointed Head of the International Relations and Strategy Department at the French Ministry of Armed Forces. Discussions were also held with Lieutenant General Eric Peltier, Deputy Head of the Department. "During the consultations, the work carried out in 2025 within the framework of the cooperation was summarized and programs for the next year were outlined. The parties emphasized the importance of giving bilateral cooperation strategic content and an institutional character. Following the consultations, a defense cooperation plan between Armenia and France for 2026 was signed, encompassing several dozen activities in nearly all areas of the Armed Forces. It was also decided that the next strategic defense consultations will be held in Yerevan," the ministry added.
