


ArmInfo. Christian Solidarity International (CSI) has called on the Armenian authorities to cease pressure on the institutions of the people of Artsakh.
"CSI is deeply concerned by the police raid on the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Artsakh in Yerevan on December 11, following a meeting convened by the National Assembly of Artsakh to discuss their people's internationally recognized right to return to their homeland.
We urge the Armenian authorities to uphold the right to peaceful assembly and to refrain from using law enforcement to exercise political pressure against the institutions of the people of Artsakh," CSI's message on X reads.
Noted that on December 11, law enforcement officers conducted a search of the Permanent Representation of Artsakh in Yerevan. The reasons for the searches have not been disclosed; the Investigative Committee only stated that the activities were conducted as part of a criminal investigation. Independent experts and opposition figures have linked the incident to the NKR parliamentary session held on December 10, the anniversary of the Artsakh independence referendum. -0-
