However,  before this happens, he must decide  on the arrest of Nikol Pashinyan, as was stated by Hayk Mamijanyan,  leader of the opposition parliamentary faction "With  Honor," at a  briefing on December 5.

According to him, no one doubted that Judge Masis Melkoyan would  carry out the authorities' orders to arrest Archbishop Arshak  Khachatryan. "It's good that he made a quick decision today;  apparently, he's progressing," the opposition figure noted, not  without irony. He expressed his conviction that the government's  campaign against the Church is strengthening the Church. He added  that wherever the Patriarch is, the Patriarchate will be there. "But  if things continue like this, there will be far more worthy  archbishops and bishops in detention centers than some individuals in  government buildings  making dubious deals to save their own skins,"  Mamijanyan noted.  Recall , today Judge Masis Melkonyan ordered the  arrest of Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan.
