


ArmInfo. The Armenian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences over the floods in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
"Sorry to witness the severe flooding and landslides in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, causing significant loss of life and widespread damage. Heartfelt condolences to families of those who fell victim to the disaster and wishes of strength and fast recovery to all those affected," the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on X.
As reported by TV BRICS, heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in several Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. In Indonesia, a state of emergency has been declared in nine districts of Aceh and 13 districts of North Sumatra. In North Sumatra, 55 people have died and 45 are missing, while nine people have died in West Sumatra. In Thailand, according to the latest figures from the Emergency Response Center (ERC), 145 people have died in the southern provinces. The worst situation is in Songkhla Province, where 110 deaths have been recorded.
In Malaysia, the number of people evacuated has exceeded 26,900. Two people have died as a result of the floods. In Vietnam, floods and landslides have killed 98 people, left 10 missing, destroyed 426 homes, damaged more than 2,000, and flooded more than 272,000 homes.
