ArmInfo. The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports that during the extinguishing of a fire, a service vehicle crashed, resulting in the death of a rescuer.
"We deeply regret to inform you that on November 26, while extinguishing a fire in the Tavush region, an accident occurred. The service vehicle of the Vanadzor Fire and Rescue Squad No. 2 of the Lori Regional Rescue Department crashed. Firefighter Sergeant Taron Simonyan died while performing his duties. Four rescuers were injured in the accident.
The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expresses its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased rescuer," the Ministry's statement reads.
