ArmInfo. Former managers of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC intend to refute point by point the allegations made by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his meeting with the company's interim manager, Romanos Petrosyan.
"Nikol Pashinyan just summoned the head of ENA and, with his participation, attempted to present to the public the rationale for the takeover of the company," Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the "Ponashemu" movement and CEO of Tashir Capital CJSC, wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, a detailed discussion regarding these allegations will take place later. "Pashinyan is certainly a good specialist in discrediting people, but he doesn't delve into the details, and that is his weakness, both here and everywhere," Narek Karapetyan wrote.
As a reminder, on November 17, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) issued a decision to deprive Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC of its power transmission rights. On June 18, law enforcement agencies arrested and subsequently remanded Samvel Karapetyan, a prominent businessman and head of the Tashir Group of Companies, in pretrial detention on charges of calling for the overthrow of the constitutional order. This occurred solely because Karapetyan, speaking out in defense of the Armenian Apostolic Church, stated in an interview that "we will intervene in our own way" if politicians fail to fulfill their mandate. Following Karapetyan's arrest, the authorities effectively took control of ENA from the Karapetyan family, appointing Romanos Petrosyan, a member of the Civil Contract party, as interim manager.
