


ArmInfo. Germany has become the fourth-largest importer of oil from Azerbaijan, an autocracy which ethnically cleansed the Armenian population of Nagorno- Karabakh. American journalist Lindsay Snell wrote on her Twitter account (X).
She noted that Germany has drastically reduced its reliance on Russian energy due to human rights concerns. "So, it became the fourth-largest importer of oil from Azerbaijan, an autocracy with hundreds of political prisoners which ethnically cleansed the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh," Snell wrote.
Azerbaijani media previously reported that Germany ranked fourth among the countries to which Azerbaijan exported oil and petroleum products. A total of 956,716.48 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products, valued at $502,018.65 were delivered to Germany. Italy ranked first, the Czech Republic second, and Croatia third in terms of imports from Azerbaijan.
