ArmInfo. Yerevan has been ranked among the world's top 10 cities for nightlife, as reported by the press service of the Tourism Committee, citing data from the digital entertainment platform JB, published in the travel publication CNTraveller.
"Armenia might not be the first country that springs to mind when it comes to nightlife, but Yerevan - which is known for its lively atmosphere, rooftop bars and tourist-favourite Wine Street - takes seventh position. It has a few more venues than neighbour Tbilisi - with 33 night spots and 48 after-dark activities per 100 square kilometres - and an average rating of 4.47. Drinks also come in at an affordable $3.40 (Rs301) each, with bars closing at 4am."
Barcelona, Paris, Tokyo, Prague, Tbilisi, and Seoul ranked ahead of Yerevan in the ranking, followed by Bangkok, Bali, and Budapest.
According to JB, approximately 60% of travelers consider nightlife as a factor when choosing their next vacation destination. The ranking was compiled based on factors such as safety, bar and pub density, available entertainment after dark, as well as the average cost of dinner, drink prices, establishment ratings, and closing times.
It's worth noting that, according to the Tourism Committee, 1.94 million tourists visited Armenia from January to October, a 1% increase compared to the same period last year.
