ArmInfo. On November 14, during its regular session, the Government of Armenia approved the ratification of the Agreement with the Government of Georgia on the readmission of persons residing without authorization.
As stated in the explanatory note to the bill, the conclusion of an international agreement between Armenia and Georgia regulating readmission issues will allow for joint and coordinated measures in both countries to identify and organize the return of individuals residing illegally, including their own citizens as well as third-country nationals and stateless persons. The document will also create a legal basis for regulating the readmission process. This includes creating a list of documents confirming the citizenship of the Parties, a list of documents confirming the grounds for the readmission of third-country citizens and stateless persons, procedures for the escorted transfer of persons, procedures for conducting interviews, the required form for submitting a readmission application, deadlines and other related issues.
