ArmInfo. Ishkhan Khosrovyan, an employee of the fact-checking and information website Antifake, has been detained. Lawyer Ruben Melikyan announced this on his Facebook account.
According to the lawyer, Khosrovyan called him from the Yerevan City Police Department and informed him of his detention. "He informed me that he would soon be taken to the Yerevan Investigative Committee on Paruyr Sevak Street," the lawyer added.
Earlier, the lawyer reported that he had been unable to contact Khosrovyan since this morning. Melikyan suggested that he, too, had been detained as part of a crackdown aimed at shutting down the media.
As a reminder, yesterday it was reported that the AntiFake.am office was searched, and all equipment was seized. The portal's journalist, David Fidanyan, was also detained for 72 hours on suspicion of "obstructing justice." The searches followed the arrests of Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan, the founders and hosts of the "Imnemnimi" podcast.
