ArmInfo. The Armenian National Unity Party, led by former head of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of Judicial Acts Mihran Pogoyan, called on the opposition to unite the pan-Armenian potential.
The statement recalls that on November 9, 2020, a statement was signed that ultimately led to the capitulation of Artsakh. "On November 9, 2020, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan signed a document called the 'Trilateral Statement,' which marked the beginning of irreversible losses, new concessions, and humiliations. Today, we have a depopulated Artsakh, prisoners of war in Baku, and the territories of the Republic of Armenia occupied by Azerbaijan...
At the same time, Azerbaijan continues to make new demands on the current Armenian authorities. Baku, together with Ankara, is openly implementing a program to eliminate Armenia. The so-called 'peace process' is aimed at these same goals. Specifically, Armenia is being presented with new territorial demands: it must amend its Constitution and have no combat-ready army.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan must take a dominant position on Armenia's borders, finally establishing control over strategic roads. Armenia must assume reparations obligations to compensate for damages allegedly inflicted on Azerbaijan in the amount of $50 billion or more. In addition to these demands, the Turkish- Azerbaijani tandem obligates the current Armenian authorities." "To dismantle the fundamental cultural institutions that form the basis of the Armenian people's identity, and first and foremost the Armenian Apostolic Church, to reconsider ties with the Diaspora, to forget the past, and to abandon the Armenia- Artsakh-Diaspora system. There is only one way to prevent this decline: to unite the pan-Armenian potential to restore national dignity, opportunities, and authority.
Otherwise, Armenia faces complete and final capitulation," the Armenian National Unity Party said in a statement.
