


ArmInfo. Three-year-old Tigran Ovanesov, who had been searched for several days by rescuers and volunteers, was strangled by his own father. This was announced by RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan to the National Assembly committees on November 3.
According to her, on the day of the incident, the boy and his older brother left their home and encountered their father in the yard, with whom they apparently had a conflict. As a result, the suspect strangled his younger son. The minister emphasized that Tigran's five-year-old brother has health issues and is unable to fully testify. However, specialists recorded his reactions, which helped the investigation reconstruct the sequence of events.
Sargsyan also emphasized that the father had previously mentioned family conflicts.
The investigation established that the man, attempting to conceal the crime, moved the child's body several times.
As a reminder, the body of three-year-old Tigran Ovanesov from the village of Tsapatakh was discovered on November 2 at around 3:00 PM in a field adjacent to the village. An autopsy has been ordered, and an investigation is underway. The search for the child, involving police, rescuers, and volunteers, began on October 27. The boy had gone missing the previous day. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for murder in connection with his disappearance.
