Armenian law-enforcers intends to arrest Catholicos` brother 

ArmInfo.  Armenian law enforcement agencies want to arrest the brother and nephew of the Catholicos of All Armenians. Lawyer Ara Zohrabyan announced this on his Facebook page.

According to him, Republic Party candidate Harutyun Mkrtchyan  published a post on his Facebook page in the enlarged Vagharshapat  community, stating that on November 1, at approximately 4:10 PM, the  Catholicos's brother, Gevorg Nersisyan, and his sons, allegedly  obstructed election campaigning. The day before, the investigative  body ordered the arrest of 68-year-old Gevorg Nersisyan and his son,  Hambardzum Nersisyan, for transfer to court for pretrial detention.  "The Nersisyans are accused of hooliganism and obstructing a  campaign. In fact, there's not even a hint of a crime in the case.  CCTV footage merely confirms the complete lie about the attack," the  lawyer emphasized.

According to him, what actually happened was this: on November 1, at  around 2:40 PM, Ambartsum was standing in front of his home when a  man approached him and invited him to attend the Republic Party  congress, which was scheduled to take place at 4:00 PM. Ambartsum  declined, but the man tried to persuade him. They talked, then  Ambartsum's father, Gevorg Nersisyan, approached. The three of them  spoke and then peacefully dispersed. "All of this was recorded on  video. This meeting took place in front of the Nersisyans' home,  before the Respublika party's pre-election congress. Dear  investigators, I urge you not to allow your organization's reputation  to be destroyed. People cannot be detained with such false  accusations," the lawyer emphasized.
