ArmInfo. The railway that will connect mainland Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan through Armenia's Syunik Province can be restored in two years, as stated by Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov, during his visit to occupied Kovsakan with the diplomatic corps.
"The road is 44 kilometers long. Russian railway construction specialists have walked along this route. It is possible to restore the road in approximately two years, because the tunnels have not collapsed; only a railway complex is required," Evdokimov said, according to APA.
He also noted that it is not so important who will restore the road or how. "This road will not only strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia but also create conditions for the development of economic ties in the region. The main issue is to restore the road as soon as possible," the Russian ambassador noted.
