ArmInfo. Turkey has said it cannot open the borders or establish diplomatic relations until Armenian-Azerbaijani relations are normalized. Now this has been accomplished-the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agreement has been initialed, and there are no disputes regarding its text. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this in an interview with DW. In this regard, the minister stated that he sees no problem with opening the Armenian-Turkish border.
"I see no problem with establishing Armenian-Turkish diplomatic relations. Our Turkish colleagues have confirmed this. They have expressed readiness and are demonstrating this readiness in practice-to restore rail links and direct bilateral trade, not to mention establishing diplomatic relations. Therefore, I believe we will achieve tangible progress in this direction in the coming weeks and months. This is a matter of a few months at most, that's my perception; we'll see how things play out," Mirzoyan said.
