ArmInfo The deteriorating health of a 16-year-old boy from Vanadzor is in no way related to vaccination, RA Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan stated.
It was previously reported that the boy developed health problems some time after the vaccination. On October 6, he was taken to the city medical center, from where, after some improvement in his condition, he was airlifted to Yerevan. Doctors have preliminarily diagnosed cerebral edema, sinus thrombosis, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. The patient is in serious but stable condition and is receiving the necessary treatment. Initially, it was reported that the boy's deteriorating health was related to the vaccination.
In this regard, the minister noted that this message smacks of disinformation. "The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia published a publication in which he mentioned the areas most vulnerable in terms of disinformation technologies. Among these four areas, of course, ours is healthcare. A recent example from today's 'information' field. Let's analyze the publication that caused "likes" and "panic". The health status of a person transferred to a medical institution is assessed without indicating or specifying an official source, indirectly also disclosing medical confidentiality. Without clarifying the circumstances and requesting information from authorized persons, a vaccination given a week ago is mentioned. From the description it follows that the parents "carried out unprofessional home treatment" and, seeing that they could not 'cure', took the child to the hospital. The publication contains disinformation, manipulation, emotional subtext and pursues one goal - to undermine people's trust in vaccination and in the healthcare functions carried out by the state as a whole. Meanwhile, at the moment, a team of specialists, having comprehensively studied the case, came to the conclusion that the diagnosis, the current course of treatment, the chronology "Vaccinations and a history of previous vaccinations are not considered a post-vaccination event. And what's the point of our denials? The "hot" publication has carried out its emotional disinformation terror... The only salvation is our awareness and knowledge," noted Anait Avanesyan.
