


ArmInfo. Hripsime Hunanyan has been elected Chair of the National Assembly Committee on Healthcare. This was confirmed following the secret ballot held on October 2.
As Narek Babayan, head of the RA NA Counting Commission, noted, 61 out of 107 MPs participated in the vote. Sixty-one MPs voted in favor of the candidate. Thus, Hripsime Hunanyan has become the Chair of the NA Committee on Healthcare.
Earlier, having thanked the Civil Contract faction for nominating her candidacy, the newly elected Chairperson of the Committee addressed several problems and gaps in the healthcare sector and outlined her career. "Despite the existing challenges, we must not stand still and improve our healthcare step by step. We must create a new healthcare culture, which is the key to maintaining health," the candidate noted.
Hripsime Hunanyan also presented the healthcare reforms of recent years and the existing challenges. Regarding the implementation of comprehensive health insurance, she noted that the relevant bill would be submitted to the National Assembly in the near future, and the commission would organize parliamentary hearings and working discussions.
