


ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Aramazd Kalamkaryan as Chairman of the Water Committee.
Kalamkaryan, an economist by profession, worked at World Vision Armenia and at Armeconombank, owned by the family of Khachatur Sukiasyan (an MP from the ruling Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly). He was also the publisher of the Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper, where Nikol Pashinyan served as editor-in-chief.
Kalamkaryan previously served on the board of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) party (led by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan). In April, he made harsh remarks against Ter-Petrosyan and resigned from the party.
