ArmInfo. The first "Armath" engineering laboratory was inaugurated in Tbilisi School No. 104, becoming the 11th laboratory operating in Georgian schools.
During the opening ceremony, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan noted that such initiatives further strengthen relations based on the centuries-old friendship between the Armenian and Georgian peoples, contributing to the deepening of strategic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia.
He also expressed gratitude to the laboratory's founders and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia (MESCS) and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia.
Launched in 2011, "Armath" is Armenia's flagship national program for non-formal engineering education, implemented by UATE with the support of Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Today, more than 630 "Armath" labs operate in Armenia, covering every second school in the country.
The program's reach extends well beyond Armenia. "Armath" makerspaces are already established in the USA, France, Kuwait, Bangladesh, India, Eswatini, and Georgia-where the network has just expanded with this new addition in Tbilisi.
